Creepy video of 'Dobby-like' creature on driveway has 'been solved'
A video appearing to show 'Dobby the house elf' walking down a driveway has recently gone viral.
In the clip, the unidentified creature (or person) can be seen haphazardly walking down the driveway in Colorado Springs; its steps long and exaggerated. The bizarre footage was captured on a CCTV camera outside Vivian Gomez's home, and unsurprisingly, she took to Facebook to try and get answers, writing:
"So I woke up Sunday morning and saw this on my camera and am trying to figure out… what the heck?? First I saw the shadow walking from my front door then I saw this thing… has anyone else seen this on their cameras?? The other two cameras didn't pick it up for some reason."

Understandably, this led to a lot of speculation about what was going on in the clip.
While a lot of people said it was Dobby the house elf, it's worth noting that even if J.K. Rowling's magic realm did exist, he was killed off during the Battle of Hogwarts.
Other possible answers included aliens and simply a kid with underpants on their head.
The mystery then deepened when a Fortnite gamer noted that there was a "second shadow" in the footage, prompting some to speculate that Dobby was, in fact, a puppet.
Speaking to Inside Edition, forensic video analyst Conor McCourt said he doesn't believe the video is "fake":
"It could be a lot of things. ... Security videos can cause a ghostly effect," McCourt said, explaining that infrared, which is used to see at night, can be misleading.
"My real suspicion is that it's a child [...] I'm seeing a highly reflective area in the head, it could be ponytails, it could be something else."
Now, experts have weighed in on the video, the Daily Star reports, and said that the explanation is the simplest theory: it is likely a skinny child in flip flops with underpants on their head.
However, Gomez, who has a young son named Bobby, has insisted that it's not her child, telling Inside Edition: "I wouldn't let him out at dark by himself."
But she did admit that he "likes to joke around" and "loves to dance".
