Dakota Johnson finally addresses that look she gave Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Aniston at the Golden Globes
Okay, so you remember at the Golden Globes earlier this month when Jennifer Aniston presented an award to Carol Burnett and stood directly in front of Angelina Jolie? The moment was immortalised forever when – like all of us who still have a bit of a high school mentality about us – Dakota Johnson snuck a glance at Angelina to see how she was reacting to Jen's speech.
It was a delicious moment of petty desire for drama, but nothing really surmounted from it and everyone seemed to keep their cool. But still, the pictures of the awkward encounter are pretty great.
It's hilariously awks because rumour has it that Angelina "stole" Brad Pitt from Jennifer back in 2005. Jennifer had been with the actor for five years, but after getting to know each a little too well on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith, "Brangelina" happened. Jennifer divorced Brad, who later got married to Angelina, and they eventually split as well in 2016 after 11 years of being together.
So naturally, a person's "Ooh this could be interesting" radar would detect potential drama in any scenario where they are forced to be in the same room, and that's why we are all Dakota.
But the Fifty Shades of Grey actress has only now spoken out about her not-so-discreet peek at Angelina Jolie during the awards ceremony. During her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she didn't even try to deny the sneaky side-eye she shot at Angelina. Fallon asked her about the look, and while confirming that she did purposefully turn to glance over, she added that she wasn't the only culprit.
"But so is Armie’s [Hammer] wife! I’m not the only one," she insisted while pointing at the picture. "Elizabeth [Chambers] is like very blatantly looking at her. She’s like, ‘What is she going to do?’ And I was trying to be sly about it."

The 28-year-old also tried to convince the host that she was actually looking at something else entirely. "Truthfully, I don’t think that I was really actually looking at her cause if you look really closely at the angle of my eyes, they’re kind of like," she motioned away from the image out, "over here."
And when Fallon asked what it was that she was actually looking at, Dakota proved she was all of us yet again by admitting that she was fangirling over the Stranger Things actors.

"There was the actual kids' table, which was the Stranger Things table," she said. "And I really love Stranger Things so much, like so much." She then went on to say that she tried to send her friend a "sneaky picture" of them, which – as everyone knows – never goes unnoticed.
"Like they’re children, I know, and I was like zooming in but then I also accidentally caught maybe Ridley Scott asleep. But then I think maybe he was just looking at his phone. But it looked like he was asleep."
LOL. And it turns out she wasn't kidding – Fallon had the footage and played it during the interview. Watch the whole thing here, it's a right laugh:
