23-year-old woman tells her date she's transgender and his reaction is absolutely perfect
VT
The discrimination transgender people face by society writ large is well documented, and is further evidence of the fact that we have a way to go before we build a world that is inclusive of people from all walks of life.
This week, however, a transgender woman's tweet went viral, after she shared the reaction her date had to her gender identity.

23-year-old Tiffany Monroe took to Twitter to share the response she had from the man she was chatting to online, and it was nothing short of perfect.
Tiffany, who hails from Texas, shared screenshots of her conversation with the unidentified man, and captioned the post "I told this guy I was trans and look at his response."
"I ain鈥檛 worried too much about that if that鈥檚 the case, you鈥檙e a woman and I鈥檓 not gay. It鈥檚 2019, I鈥檓 a grown man, your past shouldn鈥檛 matter like that."

Naturally, the people of the internet were all for the man's enlightened response, though they were quick to point out that such a reaction should already be the norm.
"I don鈥檛 want to praise him for the simple fact that we鈥檙e praising him for treating someone like a damn human being, as he should, but I鈥檓 going to praise him because people ain鈥檛 sh*t anymore," one Twitter user wrote, while another corroborated "In a world where trans people are treated so horribly dehumanised, it鈥檚 an absolute breath of fresh air to see responses like that. Although, it should be the bare minimum and just common."

Tiffany later thanked her followers for their support, writing "Thank you to all the lovely people being so nice to me, you all are beautiful, deserve love and I hope you have a good day!"
At the end of the day, we stan common decency.
