Rapper urges Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to ‘protect your kids’ after ‘sickening’ clip of North West surfaces

Skepta has publicly called on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to "protect your kids" after a video of their 13-year-old daughter, North West, circulated on social media following an appearance at Paris Fashion Week.
The footage showed North attending the Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 show, where she approached an adult man with her hand out for a handshake before he hugged her instead. The pair then posed for a photograph together.
Reacting to the clip on X, Skepta criticized the interaction and questioned why North was in that situation. He wrote: "A blind man could see she wanted a handshake."
He later added: "My fans know I try to stay out of [people's] business but the way grown men, complete strangers try to use North makes me sick."
Skepta says North's body language was clear
After one X user questioned whether hugging had become a "social offence now," Skepta doubled down on his opinion, arguing that North's body language showed she was expecting a handshake instead.
"She is 13-years-old," he continued. "And she put her hand out for a handshake, you don't ignore that."
Another social media user suggested North, the eldest of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's four children, had "skipped being a teenager" because of her family's fame and the number of piercings she has been allowed to get.
Replying to that post, Skepta wrote: "WOW!! Protect your kids people. Protect your kids!"
He also described the situation as "sickening" and said he believes schools should teach people about "body language" because there appears to be less understanding of appropriate behavior.
Kim has faced criticism over parenting before
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West share four children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
The latest discussion follows previous criticism aimed at Kardashian over North's public appearances and fashion choices. Last August, some social media users criticized the reality star after North, then 12, was seen with a finger piercing and wearing a corset while in Rome.
One TikTok user wrote: "NORTH IS 12!!!!! She's a literal child. Why is her mother and all those grown-ups around her allowing her to dress and act like this??? Don't get me started on the piercing. Sexualising herself like this at such a young age is just so wrong."
Another commented: "Guyssssss. This just isn't okay. North is 12-years-old. Yes, we're all for expressing yourself through fashion but this just screams all the wrong things. Shame on Kim Kardashian."
A third added: "Kim was allowed to be a kid in her childhood so why is she letting North dress like a woman in her twenties. Bad parenting."
