'Game of Thrones' fans have found proof that Jon Snow helped Arya kill the Night King
Almost three days have passed since Sunday night's jaw-dropping episode of Game of Thrones, but at 90 minutes long and culminating in the death of the Night King, it only stands to reason that fans have not stopped talking about it.
To begin with, fans praised Arya for stabbing him in the chest and saving Winterfell when it looked like all was certainly lost.
Seriously, just look at her pounce on him and save the say:
But then Maisie Williams admitted that she wasn't sure about the producers' decision to have Arya save the day, admitting to her boyfriend that, at first, she thought it would have been a job better suited to someone more fearsome.
AKA Jon Snow, who, contrary to what just about everyone was expecting, did not have a face off with the Night King.
This was Sophie Turner's hilarious reaction to Arya's slaying of the Night King:
However, now that fans have had a chance to analyze the episode, some believe that they have found proof that Jon did actually play a crucial role in enabling Arya to put her training to good use and kill the Night King.
On a first watch of this crucial scene, Jon appears to me moments away from death at the talons of the Night King's dragon, and because Arya kills the Night King elsewhere, he could have been mistaken for thinking that he screamed the dragon into obliteration. But eagle-eared fans have noticed that he wasn't screaming, but shouting something else entirely.
Taking to Reddit, user Applesoapp wrote:
"Jon screamed at the undead dragon to distract it so Arya can run past and kill the Night King. The undead dragon was protecting the entrance to the Godswood. Watch it again, you can actually hear him scream 'GOOOOO - GO - GO.' 10 seconds later the scene you can see the hair of a White Walker flying up when Arya sprints past the group of White Walkers. Jon once again was ready to sacrifice himself to kill the Night King."
If you move to around 00:28 in the clip above, you will see Jon see something - Arya - then at 01:30 when he starts screaming, if you listen carefully enough, you'll realize that it sounds like he is shouting "Go!"
So, in short, Jon Snow wasn't as useless as he initially appeared to be, and was quite literally willing to become dragon chow to give Arya the best possible shot of killing the Night King. #KINGINTHENORTH
