'Grey's Anatomy' has been renewed for two more seasons
Grey's Anatomy fans rejoice! The hit television show has been renewed for not one, but two more seasons.
As well as renewing Grey's Anatomy, ABC has also ordered another series of How to Get Away with Murder and a third season of Station 19, according to Entertainment Weekly.
The publication confirmed that the series' star, Ellen Pompeo, will be returning for both seasons.
This season of Grey's Anatomy - created by Shonda Rhimes - overtook NBC's ER as the longest-running primetime medical drama in television history by the number of episodes, and now it's set to become the longest-running medical drama in a new category: the number of seasons.
Currently on season 15, the next two seasons will take the show to an impressive 17.
Created and executive produced by Rhimes, the show follows Ellen Pompeo's Meredith Grey and a team of doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial, as they are faced with life-or-death decisions on a daily basis.
