This Instagrammer has become a viral sensation thanks to her mermaid hair

Although Amy Witham isn't a mermaid, her Instagram profile may have you fooled. The blogger, who hails from Middlesbrough, UK, is known as "Amy the Mermaid" on the photo-sharing app, thanks to her rainbow tresses.

The 23-year-old, who first started dying her hair when she was just 11-years-old, now has over 313,000 followers on Instagram. Speaking about her rather unconventional hair colour, Amy explained: "This hair is normal to me just like brown or blond is to other people."
