Jennifer Lopez shares sweet candid photos of the moment Alex Rodriguez proposed
J-Lo is the latest in the celebrity circuit to get engaged. She follows in the well-trodden footsteps of Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber, and Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas.
The singer's boyfriend of two years, Alex Rodriguez, popped the question last weekend, and it seemed to be quite the affair. The couple took to social media to share the news; "she said yes," the former professional baseball player captioned a picture of a very large diamond on Lopez's left hand, and she shared the same snap to her Instagram, replete with eight heart emojis.
Now, J-Lo has shared some behind-the-scenes pictures from the engagement, and they're oh-so romantic.
The Jenny From The Block singer took to Instagram to share some snaps from the moment Rodriguez proposed, and they were most definitely taken by a professional photographer. They capture A-Rod dropping down on one knee, on the beach, at sunset, and in the Bahamas, because they're both clearly living their best life.
Not to mention the fact that Jen was perfectly dressed for the occasion in a billowy cream-coloured dress.
Not all seems to be well in paradise, however. An old Major League Baseball teammate of Rodriguez', Jose Canseco, alleged earlier this week that the 43-year-old has been cheating on his now-fiancée with his ex-wife, Jessica Canseco.
The former outfielder tweeted the claims while watching World of Dance - where Lopez is a judge - and said that he would take a lie detector test to prove that he wasn't fabricating the claims.
"Watching World of Dance watching J.Lo text Alex Rodriguez little does she know that he is cheating on her with my ex-wife Jessica poor girl she has no idea who he really is," his Twitter tirade began.
"I was there a few months back with her when he called her on her phone," Canesco continued. "Alex Rodriguez stop being a piece of sh*t stop cheating on Jennifer Lopez [sic]."
"Alex Rodriguez I challenge you to a boxing match or an MMA match anytime you want."
"I am willing to take a polygraph to prove that what I'm saying about Alex Rodriguez is 100% accurate," he later added.
Naturally, the internet had quite a response to the allegations. "I feel like there might’ve been a kinder way to give her the news," wrote one Twitter user, while another corroborated "Clearly this has nothing to do with kindness and everything to do with retribution."
As of now, neither Rodriguez nor Lopez have addressed the claims made by Canseco.
This is not the first marriage for both parties. The Get Right singer has previously been married three times, to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd and Marc Anthony, with whom she shares 11-year-old twins, Max and Emme Anthony. She was also previously engaged to Good Will Hunting actor, Ben Affleck.
Rodriguez was married to Cynthia Scurtis between 2002 and 2008, and has two daughters, Ella and Natasha, with her.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
