Christmas wouldn't be the same without feel-good movies. And this year, I've seen a fair few memes mocking one of their most common tropes: a disgruntled businesswoman leaves the big city for the holidays and falls for a charming man in the countryside who teaches her the true meaning of Christmas. And while tropes might get tiresome after a while, I think we can all agree that one movie stands above all others when it comes to this one: The Holiday, starring Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet.

In case your memory needs refreshing, the 2006 movie centers around English wedding columnist Iris (Kare Winslet) who is in love with her a**hole coworker Jasper, and American businesswoman Amanda (Cameron Diaz), who discovers that her boyfriend has been cheating on her with his secretary. Wanting to do something different for the holidays, they swap houses.

And as Amanda grows frustrated with life in Iris' quaint English cottage - while Iris enjoys the luxury of her LA home-  she counters Iris' handsome brother, Graham, played by Jude Law, knocks on the door thinking that his sister is home.

Graham is drunk when he first meets Amanda, and not wanting to send him back out into the cold intoxicated and have him get into trouble, she lets him stay the night, even though he's a stranger. They end up kissing and sleeping together.

The pair go on to spend a fair bit of time together, but because Amanda is only in England for two weeks, she decides to end the fling as she believes a long distance relationship simply won't work. Then she has a change of heart and turns up at Graham's house unexpectedly. It's then that she discovers his secret (sort of): he is a widower with two daughters.

Now, given that this movie was released in 2006, Jude Law's on-screen daughters are now very much grown up. And one of the actresses, Miffy Englefield, now looks completely unrecognizable from the doe-eyed little girl she played in The Holiday.

In fact, if you were to meet Miffy in the street, there's no way that you'd know she played Sophie in the movie.

Why? Well, because the now 19-year-old is a punk and frequently shares pictures of her incredibly racy looks on Instagram.

Miffy was just seven years old when the movie was released and she definitely stole the scene when she tried to set her dad up with Cameron Diaz's character Amanda.

Oh, and despite being known as Miffy, her real name is actually Rebecca. She got the nickname as she had messy hair as a child.

In her Instagram bio, the 19-year-old describes herself as, "Short, loud and mostly ridiculous".

Missy also writes that she is a, "pint-sized punk rocker that can probably eat spicier food than you".

One picture features Missy posing in a leopard print miniskirt, fishnets, and fur coat, and it's captioned: "Fur coats, fake Burberry and leopard print coz we looove the tackiness [sic]."

Another post reveals that the 19-year-old has a large flower tattoo and a nose piercing.

After appearing in The Holiday, Missy acted in 12 episodes of Casualty between 2008 and 2010. She also appeared in the short film Beautiful Enough.

And even though Missy has had her brushes with fame, her Instagram reveals that she had a brief stint working in McDonald's afterward.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, she said that she'd like to continue her acting career.

"It's still something I'm ridiculously passionate about," she said.

"I'd definitely love to work again in the acting world, the experiences I gained from the things I've done in the past were incredible and I'd love to carry it on."

On Wednesday of this week, she also revealed that her current look is holding her back when it comes to acting:

"I don't really search for acting rolls actively any more because I think people with body mods aren't really sought after, which is such a shame because I'd love to go back into acting -  if the demand was there and if I was ever approached I'd definitely consider it."

Missy's on-screen sister, Olivia, played by played Emma Pritchard, however, has not acted since The Holiday and it is her only movie credit.
