Kim Kardashian has been accused of cultural appropriation with her new racy nude selfies

In today's news on Kardashian Watch, clan leader Kim (come on, we all know it) has got the internet in a tizzy over some recent uploads to Instagram/Snapchat/Twitter/everywhere. The reality TV star uploaded some snaps yesterday posing in an white G-string and fur coat in what looks to be a dingy hotel room.

The polaroid pics are spicy for sure, and while she's doing her bit to #freethenipple, it's her hair that's really gotten people fired up.

The 37-year-old, who recently welcomed her third child via surrogate, switched up her hairdo and is now being accused of cultural appropriation. In one of the pics, Kim captioned it "Bo West", referring to the model and actress Bo Derek who sported the same hairstyle in the 1979 film, 10.

The thing is, most people can agree upon the fact that Bo Derek didn't pioneer this particular hairstyle -  it's much better attributed to black culture than anything else. And Twitter was sure to let Kim know.

But it's not the first time Kim's referenced the actress when donning the 'do. Back in 2013, she sported the same look (and a noticeably more embarrassing wardrobe), and again called them "Bo Derek braids".

So either she's still oblivious to the fact that they're actually called Fulani braids or cornrows, or she just loves stirring things up to get people talking about her. Well, the latter worked, and fellow pot-stirrer and celeb gossip king Perez Hilton uploaded a screenshot of one of the Snaps to his Instagram, asking his fans if they thought it was "offensive" too.

But then... things escalated further when one of Kim's friends decided to get in on the debate, and things turned salty. None other than Lindsay Lohan chose to leave a comment saying "I am confused."

I can't say that I would call that a particularly mean jibe and it could just be that Lindsay is bewildered by the whole thing, but anyway, Kim decided to retaliate and slam her with the response, "you know what's confusing.....your sudden foreign accent".

Perez obviously couldn't contain his giddy glee at the Burn Book-esque feud developing between the two superstars and shard a pic of their comments.

Kim, of course, is referring to the weird British-hybrid accent the New Yorker seems to have adopted since moving to Dubai. The Mean Girls actress told the Daily Mail that her new accent developed after a year of travelling and through her quest to learn multiple new languages.

"It’s a mixture of most of the languages I can understand or am trying to learn," she said. "I’ve been learning different languages since I was a child. I’m fluent in English and French can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian and Arabic."

Alrighty then.

Anyway, neither Lindsay nor Kim have said anything more about the matter, the internet is giving Kim a schooling about the origins of the hairstyle, and the next time she uploads more thirst-trap pics with Fulani braids, we hope she gets it right.
