Kris Jenner hacks Kylie Cosmetics with a huge announcement of her own
Kylie Jenner is now the richest of the Kardashians, largely thanks to the success of Kylie Cosmetics. The sale of her Lip-Kits, eyeshadow palettes and Kylighters racked up an eye-watering $420 million in retail sales in the first 18 months of the brand's launch, and with statistics like that, experts are predicting that the 20-year-old could be a billionaire by 2022.
And it seems that the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner klan want a slice of the pie too – Kim, Kourtney and Khloe have all been involved in collaborations with Kylie Cosmetics. And it seems the only one left yet to dabble with the profitable opportunity of the beauty market is the Kardashian matriarch and indisputable baller that is Kris Jenner.
The 62-year-old "momager" is the one who all her children can thank for the fame that lead to their fortune, and it seems that now she's wanting to show them that she still holds the reins. Kris Jenner, the sly old dog that she is, decided to make an announcement in the most extra way possible by hacking Kylie Cosmetics. Yup, like, cyber-hacking social media accounts so that she could capture the attention of Kylie's loyal followers to make her own voice heard.
Kris momentarily took off her "you’re doing amazing sweetie" hat to throw on the shades, roll up in a Rolls Royce with "FABUL❤S" on the number plate and show her kids who's boss. Posting a video to the Kylie Cosmetics Twitter page – changing the handle to @KrisCosmetics, no less – she essentially "hacked" her youngest daughter's business account in order to make a grand announcement: she's also going to be selling makeup.
After stepping out of the car, Kris walks up to a door with "Kylie" written on it, crossing it out with a red Sharpie (ouch) before strolling into a studio set and perching herself on a literal throne, taking off her shades and winking at the camera. It's perfect, and it's SO Kris.
She let fans know that her new collection would be dropping on Mother's Day (May 13, for those that forgot), and also proceeded to change the profile picture on the Twitter account to an image of her wearing a bold red lipstick and the sassiest fur coat I think I've ever seen. The Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account received the same treatment.

Kylie herself had hinted at a collaboration with her mother recently, posting a video of a new palette of eyeshadows with the caption "moms music selection". The selection includes shades with names like "I Love Myself", "I'm Watching You", and "Payback's A Bitch". My personal fave? The one called "10%" because it's a shimmery lilac and also because it's an obvious reference to the fact that Kris gets a 10% cut of the earnings of all her children – the most genius thing she's ever done.
