Kylie Jenner reveals how motherhood has changed her in new interview with Kim Kardashian
In the Kardashian family, the past 12 months have been focused on motherhood and new arrivals. Since the turn of the year, the world has welcomed three new Kardashians into their bizarre, public universe in which they exist and we couldn't be more excited. Stormi, True and Chicago will all go on to be worldwide stars in their own right, but for now, they will continue to live in the shadow of their mothers.
For anyone who follows the Kardashians or just the news in general, the months leading up to the arrivals were tumultuous, to say the least. As we all know, the family are notorious for living their lives in the public eye, but when it came to the birth of their children (well, two of them), they remained quiet and kept their lips sealed.
Kylie and Kourtney - presumably under the guidance of Kris Jenner - decided to neither confirm nor deny the rumours surrounding their births, with the former going quiet across her social media platforms until the arrival of Stormi in February this year. However, since the little one appeared, the 20-year-old makeup mogul has returned to her Instagram and has also opened up on the realities of motherhood.
During an interview with her sister Kim, Kylie spoke about the pressures of being a mom, with her admitting that she finds it hard to leave Stormi at home, even if it's just for a few minutes. Asked about if she has found the early stages of motherhood challenging, she said:
"It’s actually been the opposite for me. I feel like it’s just been so amazing, and so much fun. I’m learning so much more about myself and life, and it’s been such a great experience.
"Of course there’s hard times and stuff… even in the beginning, just not sleeping, the nights, like, baby blues… and all the ups and downs. And also even when I’m here it was so hard to leave this morning. I’m like, ‘I’ll be right back, I’m so sorry, I have to leave!’ and she doesn’t even know what’s going on.
"I think about her all the time, anywhere I am. I would rather be with her or wish she can come everywhere. I can’t wait till she can come everywhere with me, because right when she’s old enough I’ll bring her everywhere."
The 20-year-old also said that while her world has been completely changed by Stormi, she still feels like the same old Kylie.
"Everyone says you change completely when you become a mom, but I really feel the same, just better. So I don’t know what really has completely changed my world, besides her, of course.
"But I feel like it’s only gotten better. You’re less selfish — and I actually enjoy changing diapers. It’s really satisfying. To make her clean again. And I don’t know, the whole thing is really… it’s like such an amazing experience."
Kylie seems to be enjoying her new life as a mom and she says that she has "no regrets" over the way things turned out. Given that her net-worth is estimated at $41 million and that Kylie Cosmetics recorded sales figures of $330 million last year, things have worked out pretty well for the young star.
