1. You're each other's greatest confidants 

A lengthy tweet, a new pair of jeans, a risqué snap – everything goes through the BFF approval system first. You're not afraid to tell each other if something isn't as cute as you thought it was, and that kind of brutal honesty is just one reason why you love them.

2. People rarely see you without your bestie

You equally enjoy spending your Sunday's slothing around at home watching movies as much as you do hitting the town and getting trolleyed – as long as your numero uno is there, it's all good. And if you turn up to a party without them, people start asking why they're not here.

3. No news about potential love interests goes unsaid between you

You're there for each other's advice and sage counselling. You're each other's wingwomen, and the golden rule is that you NEVER fight over a guy.
