Chrishell Stause and G Flip announce break up after 3 years of marriage
Chrishell Stause and G Flip have announced they have separated after three years of marriage.
The former couple first went public with their relationship during a Selling Sunset reunion episode in May 2022, before celebrating their wedding in a private Las Vegas ceremony in the following year.
They later renewed their vows in multiple symbolic ceremonies across various locations such as Palm Springs, Melbourne, and Los Angeles.
Chrishell Stause breaks down in emotional breakup announcement
Stause, 45, tearfully announced the news in a vulnerable video shared on Instagram on Monday (October 26).
"I have a pretty humbling update to share with you guys," the All My Children actress began. "G and I are no longer together, and we have agreed to treat this public separation with love and respect for each other.
"That’s not hard for me, because I’m in love with this person, and I don’t have all the information or the reasons, and I just am sure, just like always, with time… you get the lessons you’re meant to get, and I know that will happen, and I’m gonna heal, and everything is gonna be fine. I’m definitely never doing this again."
The Selling Sunset star said she felt her followers deserved more than a "cold, written statement".
"Because you have been so supportive and so loving, and we really appreciate that," she continued. "Maybe you can still do that, but it would have to be separately."
She struggled to find the words to say next, confessing that she feels like "a little bit of a failure".
"There’s nothing you can say about me that would be worse than what I say to myself," she shared emotionally. "I just have to heal and figure this out... I’m a lover girl. I swing big. I miss… well, maybe you don’t miss. Maybe these are the seasons you’re meant to have with people, and I had an amazing over four years with G, so maybe that’s not a miss."
She said she is now "coming to terms" with how the break up ended, adding: "With all that being said, I wanted to give you guys an update. It’s really hard and stressful to share this information because I’m going through it.
"I will always love G, and I don’t ever really see that changing," she concluded, confirming that there's no bad blood between the pair.
"This sucks, but everyone deserves to be happy, and I wish that for both of us," she ended the clip.
G Flip breaks their silence
G, whose full name is Georgia Flipo, also shared their own statement on the divorce, which read: "After 4+ years Chrishell and I are no longer together. I will always love her, we will always share a special connection and I cherish our memories together deeply.
"My head & heart are feeling very heavy right now and I’m not able to talk but I want to thank you all for your support and appreciate you respecting our privacy at this difficult time," the statement ended.
The ex-couple has not revealed when they decided to end their relationship, but G, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, was still commenting on Chrishell’s posts just weeks ago, according to Metro.
Before her relationship with G Flip, Stause was married to This Is Us actor Justin Hartley, with their divorce finalized in 2021.
She later dated her Selling Sunset boss, Jason Oppenheim, before the couple separated in late 2021.
The reality TV star has also starred in one of G's music videos, playing the love interest in 'Get Me Outta Here'.
