Google Maps photo leads to divorce after man catches what his wife was doing

A man has reportedly ended his marriage after making a shocking discovery about his now ex-wife while using the popular route planner, Google Maps.
From employing private investigators and social media stalking to walking in on one's significant other, there are all manner of ways those indulging in extramarital activities behind their spouse's back can be caught out.
Unfortunately, for one South American man, he inadvertently stumbled upon his wife's infidelity in quite an unexpected turn of events.
A different kind of digital footprint
He had been mapping out a route for a trip when he came across a Google Street View image that caught his attention.
The picture showed a woman sitting on a bench, gently stroking a man’s hair as he rested his head on her lap.
The husband became suspicious because the woman appeared to be wearing clothes very similar to those his wife owned.
The image had actually been captured years earlier, in 2013, by a Google camera car in Lima, Peru.
After recognizing what he believed was his wife, the man confronted her with the evidence of what he saw as a past betrayal.
According to reports, she came clean and admitted to having an affair, and the couple later divorced.
The photo was taken near the city’s well-known Puente de los Suspiros de Barranco, also known as the Bridge of Sighs.
Social media responds to the compromising discovery
The husband later shared the images on Facebook, where they quickly drew attention and reactions from other users.
One commenter, San Pateste, wrote: “What a small world it is... It would have been enough if she said to her husband that she did not love him any more.”
Another user, Guillermo Sanchez, responded more cynically, saying: “Out of 100 women, 90 per cent are not loyal, the rest are loyal and only have one eye (hahaha) or are immortal (hahaha).”
The image has since become one of many unusual moments captured by Google Maps and Street View over the years, joining other strange sightings such as people dressed as pigeons, an escaped prisoner, a couple caught in a compromising situation by their car, a dentist chair on the back of a bicycle, and even a woman giving birth.
Indeed, this is perhaps the first time that someone has been caught doing the dirty on their partner by Google's 360-degree image-capturing device.
Just goes to show, you've always got to keep your wits about you...
