Brooklyn Beckham has sparked fresh discussion about his strained relationship with parents David and Victoria Beckham after appearing to reference the situation in a new advertisement tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Rumors of a rift between Brooklyn and his famous parents have circulated since 2022 following his wedding to Nicola Peltz-Beckham. Speculation continued after Brooklyn and Nicola were absent from several major family occasions, including David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations.

Now, fans believe Brooklyn has apparently addressed the situation once again through a new DoorDash campaign shared on his Instagram account. In the video, he appears to joke about why he is watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home rather than attending in person.

Brooklyn Beckham appears to make a fresh dig

In the advert, Brooklyn tells viewers: "You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home."

Laughing as he tosses World Cup tickets onto a coffee table, he adds that it is a "long story".

The video then displays the message "It’s complicated. More soon" on screen as Brooklyn exits the room. He also captioned the post with the words "long story".

Many fans were quick to connect the advert to the ongoing fallout rumors. One commenter wrote: "You’re at home because you divorced your entire family?" while another posted: "When you have to keep having digs at your family to stay relevant."

A third added: "Love the fact that he got the gig because he is Beckham's son, yet shades his father in the commercial."

The official DoorDash account also joined the conversation, commenting: "We have a guess on why you’re watching from home…"

Harper’s reported visit raises questions

The advert arrives shortly after Brooklyn’s sister Harper was reportedly seen arriving at his Beverly Hills home before leaving a short time later without seeing her brother.

According to reports, Harper visited the property after attending David Beckham’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony alongside her parents and siblings Cruz and Romeo. Page Six reported that Brooklyn and Nicola were not home when she arrived.

The sighting added another chapter to ongoing speculation surrounding the family’s relationship, which has remained a frequent topic of discussion in recent years.

Brooklyn previously addressed the fallout

In January, Brooklyn publicly spoke about the reported family tensions after years of speculation.

"I have been silent for years and have made every attempt to keep these matters private," he said.

"Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.

"I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life."

David and Victoria Beckham have not publicly commented on the situation and have not released statements addressing Brooklyn’s remarks.
