The rich and famous have the luxury of transforming their hair on a whim - after all, they have the best hairstylists in the business on speed-dial, and can always fork out for the best wigs if they fancy sporting a bob one day, and mermaid lengths the next.

Katy Perry is known to mix up her hair, which is fitting given her chameleon-esque aesthetic, which has continued to evolve since her I Kissed a Girl days. Most recently, hairstylist Chris Appleton gave the singer a platinum blonde shoulder-length 'do for the finale of American Idol.

It's certainly a change from her lived in pixie cut, and I don't think I'm alone in wanting this style to last longer than a few weeks.
