Kim Kardashian's bodyguard Mason Haynes dies aged 52 after horror accident

Mason Haynes, a British bodyguard who protected high-profile celebrities and A-listers, has died at the age of 52 following a severe four-vehicle collision.
The incident occurred in Hampshire, where Haynes was found dead at the scene. His family confirmed the news in a statement, noting that the tragedy occurred just two days before his 53rd birthday.
The crash involved two Harley-Davidson motorcycles, a BMW X3, and an LDV Maxus motorhome. According to local police, one other individual suffered serious injuries during the collision. Two drivers were arrested in connection with the crash but were subsequently released under investigation as inquiries continue, The Sun reports.
Haynes, who stood at 6 feet 10 inches tall, was a prominent figure in the close protection industry. Over his career, he provided security for a massive roster of global stars, including Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Beyoncé, David Beckham, Lewis Hamilton, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, and Sabrina Carpenter. He was also hired by the pop group ABBA during their 2022 reunion.
Career in close protection
Haynes began his security career in his 20s while looking for a way to fund his studies. In a 2018 interview with London Now, he explained his professional origins: "I then found a full-time job in Scorpion Security, who were the security company hired by Café De Paris in London, among others.
"Because there were a number of celebrity patrons, I started doing what you might call ‘close protection’, which became permanent contracts with several celebrities."
His early high-profile clients included the Kardashian family. Haynes was part of the security detail assigned to the family during the 2016 Paris heist, where Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint during a 7.4 million pound jewelry robbery. Reflecting on the event, Haynes stated: "I was part of that team, and that incident was simply a set of unfortunate circumstances which led to something bad happening."
Tributes from family and colleagues
Following the news of his death, loved ones and professional associates shared messages honoring his life. A fundraising page was established to assist his wife, Fay, and his two children, Brooke and Noah, with immediate financial strains and funeral costs.
The statement on the fundraising page described Haynes as: “A protector. A mentor. A prankster. A giant in every sense of the word, with an even bigger heart.” The tribute added that he was “a man who made people feel welcome from the moment they met him” and “who would cross countries to help a friend.”
His employer, Trojan Security UK, also published a statement on Instagram alongside a photograph of Haynes working alongside Kris Jenner. The company wrote: “We would like to pay homage to an absolute legend in the Close Protection game. Big Mason. Gone too soon. Rest easy and fly high Brother.”
