Rebekah Vardy has been very candid about her brief fling with Peter Andre.

The pair first locked eyes at a restaurant, but the relationship soon developed into a very public scandal, as the pair began slinging mud at each other in the press.

How did Rebekah Vardy and Peter Andre meet?

Just four months after she married her first husband, Mark Godden, Rebekah had an affair with the Mysterious Girl singer. However, she maintains that her marriage was coming to an end regardless at the time.

Rebekah and Peter met in a restaurant after the pop star noticed her, and she proceeded to give him her number.

The WAG was just 21-years-old when she met Peter back in 2001, and she was working in a promotions company.

Rebekah Vardy opens up about the fling

The Dancing on Ice star did a tell-all about her affair with Peter, which was published in the News of the World in 2001.

After claiming, "I knew my marriage was coming to an end," she explained how she hid the affair from her then husband Godden.

Rebekah recalled that she told her husband that she was going into London for work, but instead went to Windsor station where the pop star picked her up, and took her to Burnham Beaches Hotel.

"He was really sweet and led me upstairs. When we were in the room, he stripped me and took his top off. He had great muscles," she said per The Sun.

"I thought he was going to be a fantastic lover. Then he took his trousers off! He was the worst lover I've ever had. It wasn't even worth the train fare. Peter was tiny. The smallest trouser equipment I've ever seen. It was like a miniature chipolata."

Peter Andre hits back at Rebekah Vardy

Despite keeping silent on Rebekah's assertions for a number of years, Peter hit back at her remarks about his manhood in 2017.

After the interview resurfaced following Rebekah's time on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, he took to Instagram to address the rumour.

Peter shared a photo of a butcher holding onto a giant sausage. The singer captioned the cheeky post, "Now that's a banger," alongside a smiley face emoji.

This comes after a source told new! magazine that Peter was reportedly "mortified" by the model's comments.

"Not only is it utterly humiliating for him to have his manhood discussed in such a crude way, but it also makes him look like a real ladies’ man, which is his worst nightmare," they said.

"No man would ever want anyone to say they are terrible in bed. It’s the stuff of nightmares," the insider added.

Rebekah Vardy 'apologises'

The mother-of-five allegedly issued an apology to Peter following the Wagatha Christie scandal, per The Mirror.

She reportedly reached out to the singer with an apology over text at the beginning of October 2020.

"Rebekah felt really bad Peter was dragged into proceedings and her old interview about him was brought up again," a source told the publication.

"She was in a totally different place in her life then and never imagined her words would come back to haunt them both. She wishes him all the best now. Rebekah messaged him on Instagram to apologise for the public mess but, unfortunately, it fell on deaf ears. He didn't respond."

When did Rebekah meet Jamie Vardy?

Rebekah is now happily married to England footballer, Jamie Vardy.

The couple, who share three children – Sophia, Finlay and Olivia – met back in 2014, when Rebekah was working at a party planner. At the time, she was hired to organise Jamie's 27th birthday party.

After two years together, in 2016, they wed in Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. Rebekah then gave birth to their second child in 2018.

Speaking about her relationship with her husband in an interview with Fabulous magazine, Rebekah stated:

"But then I met Jamie. It took a while for me to trust him and I think the relationship we have now is the only relationship I’ve ever felt stable in.

"I love and trust him. My husband ain’t like the rest of them. He’s so not. He’s so supportive of everything I do, everything I say and everything I stand for. He knows the battles I’ve endured and where I’ve come from to where I am now."
